REIKI FAQ’s
-
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It works by channeling universal life force energy through the practitioner's hands to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and facilitate healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
-
Reiki healing can provide numerous benefits, including stress reduction, pain relief, improved sleep, enhanced emotional well-being, and increased energy levels. It can also promote a sense of balance and harmony within the body and mind.
-
During a Reiki session, you can expect to lie down fully clothed on a treatment table or sit comfortably in a chair. The practitioner will gently place their hands on or above different areas of your body to transmit healing energy. You may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation during the session.
-
Reiki is a Japanese form of complimentary medicine called energy healing. “Reiki” is a Japanese word that translates into “Rei” – Universal Life Force and “Ki” – Energy. Together they mean “Universal Life Force Energy.”
Reiki Practitioners use their hands to delivery energy to the body, improving the flow and balance to your energy to support healing.
You will have heard of the terms “chi”, “ki”, “Prana” and “life force.” Each culture has different way of describing energy and how to rebalance and realign energy in the body.
Everything is energy. Energy is matter, our thoughts and our feelings. Your spiritual and emotional wellbeing is the essence of who you are and we need energy to support our physical wellness and all the functions, structures, muscles, organs and cells of our body. If our energy isn’t aligned our whole being is affected and we can get stuck in life, not being able to move forward.
-
Yes, Reiki is safe and gentle, making it suitable for people of all ages and health conditions. It can be particularly beneficial for children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those recovering from illness or injury.
-
The number of Reiki sessions recommended varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some people may experience significant benefits after just one session, while others may benefit from regular sessions over time to address specific issues or maintain overall well-being.
-
Reiki can be done both in person and remotely. Distance Reiki sessions work on the principle that energy is not confined by time or space, allowing practitioners to send healing energy to clients regardless of their location. Remote sessions can be just as effective as in-person sessions and offer the convenience of receiving healing from the comfort of your own home.
KINESIOLOGY FAQ’s
-
Kinesiology is founded on Eastern Medicine and Western understanding of anatomy. It is both Science and Arts.
Kinesiology is a gentle natural therapy that uses muscles of the body to access information from your body and subconscious mind to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal so that your body can reestablish balance and promote healing.
Our subconscious mind holds memories, beliefs, life stories and information about our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states that may be limiting us achieving our goal and living in a state of balance.
This may show up as lacking energy, experiencing negative behavior patterns, increased anxiety and stress, dealing with digestive issues, feeling stuck in an area of life, feeling more tension and pain in your body and just not feeling like your true self.
To restore balance in the body on all levels, the Kinesiologist acts as a detective being guided by a trail of clues provided by the body by way of muscle testing to enable us to find the root cause of the issue. Bringing awareness and understanding to the root cause of an issue using a variety of tools and techniques can have a profound effect on clearing the blockage, moving the energy, changing mindset and releasing it from the body.
During a session, I can also draw on my professional training in other areas such as Reiki, Pilates and Yin Yoga.
